Now that you have some diving experience, it is time to take the next and big step in your diving education. You guessed right, we are talking about the Rescue Diver Course.
This course presents challenges you may not have seen before. You were focusing on keeping yourself safe and on how you could do this flawlessly. Now it is time to develop the confidence and the skills to do the same for other divers.
To adhere to the Rescue Diver Course you have to be 15 years old minimum. You also need to be an Advanced Open Water Diver. And you need to be trained for first aid and CPR with a valid certificate within the 2 years.
Classroom theory and confined water exercises build into open water scenarios where you will learn and apply basic first aid and treatment procedures for both minor and serious injuries related to diving.
You will learn to predict possible problems and how to respond to them before they become potential problems. Your instructor will teach you the skills needed to rescue a diver in case of an emergency and you will also gain the knowledge and ability to avert complications. You will not only learn how to rescue yourself but also how you have to rescue a panicked diver and an unresponsive diver.
You will learn different rescue techniques through knowledge development, practice them in confined water and use them in open water in rescue scenarios.

Course place: The course will be at the diving center.
Course duration: Between 2 and 4 days to complete.
Day 1: Theory session and knowledge reviews.
Day 2 & 3: Outdoor water exercises in swimming pool or shallow water.
Day 4: Dive scenarios in open water.
