To adhere to the Advanced Open Water Diver Course you must be at least 15 years old and in the possession of the Open Water Diver certificate.
You will learn how to move through the water as an experienced diver in a fast, safe and efficient way.
The Advanced Open Water Diver Course is subdivided in 5 modules and 5 dives. There is no theoretical exam but a questionnaire must be completed for each module. Your instructor will review and discuss them with you prior to your dives.
2 of the 5 modules are obligatory, i.e. navigation and deep diving. The other 3 modules are free to choose in accordance with your interests. Or if you hesitate which to take, ask advice to your instructor.
Navigation module and dive:
Good navigation can save you unnecessary swimming at the surface. Your instructor will learn you the different navigation techniques and also how to return to your entry point, among other things.
Deep Diving module and dive:
Here you will learn how to plan and perform deep dives. You will also learn, on the basis of certain techniques, how to deal with flow.
For the 3 remaining modules and dives, you can choose from the adventure dives list which you would like to implement in your course.
Regarding the specialties you will choose, you will get in touch with new techniques and components of diving.
